How to hide the Inforiver Super Filter & still perform Dynamic Column Headers using Power BI Slicer/Filter

We can hide our Inforiver Super Filter and still filter our Column Headers using either Power BI Slicers or Power BI Filters. This is very useful especially when we want to only show either Power BI Slicer or Power BI filter in our report when performing Dynamic Column Header Filtering.

You can learn how to create Dynamic Column Header here --> Dynamic Header using Inforiver Super Filter!

Let us understand with an example:

1) Below we have a Inforiver report, a Super Filter and also a regular Power BI Slicer:

2) We have already connected the report to the Super Filter and have configured Dynamic Column Headers to the Inforiver visual:

Dynamic Column Headers using Super Filter (in our case we have connected it to the Year measure since we want to filter our Column Headers by year):

3) We can now perform the same Dynamic Column filtering using Power BI Slicer:

4) We can even hide the Super Filter and just use the Power BI Slicer.

To hide the Super Filter please follow these steps: Go to Visualizations pane -> Format your visual -> search 'Context' in search tab -> Display Settings -> Appearance -> enable 'Show Context Settings' option:

In Context Settings -> we can enable Hide Visual:

5) We can now see that our Super Filter visual is hidden:

6) We can now go ahead and use only the Power BI Slicer for Dynamic Column Header filtering:
