Sometimes when creating a report a few columns become empty due to reasons like the column values being nonexistent or when applying certain slicers/filters the column becomes empty.
As report creators we do not want to see these empty columns and instead want to only see columns with values. In addition, if any new empty columns get created during the course of the report, we want them to get automatically hidden.
In Inforiver Matrix we have the option to automatically hide empty columns with the simple click of a button. Let us demonstrate with an example.
1) Below we have a report with an empty column, and we want to hide it:
2) We can simply enable Hide Empty Columns option under Display tab.
Go to Display -> search 'empty columns' in the Search tab
3) Once we do this the empty column gets hidden automatically:
Even when new empty columns get created, they will automatically get hidden since we have enabled the Hide Empty Columns option.
