Heat Map in Inforiver Matrix

Inforiver Matrix allows us to perform conditional formatting based on individual rows. You can track multiple row values through color changes using the Heat Map which then gives us an indication of the change in values with respect to other values.

In Power BI we can only do conditional formatting based on all values in a matrix, and not based on individual rows. While we can apply conditional formatting to highlight values in a row, the highlighted values will typically only be the highest values, and not include the lower values. Since we want to see the lower values highlighted, a suggested workaround would be to transform the entire row data as a percentage of row total. However, you can still face problems if you have some outliers in the row data.

Inforiver solves all this with a simple click of a button.
