Format Painter is one of the most useful features for copying the same formatting from either a cell or row and applying it to another cell or row. It reduces the need to manually format with just a simple click of a button.
While the Format Painter feature in MS Excel is quite useful it does have one major drawback namely the inability to apply the formatting to all rows at once.
Say for example we have a row formatted in Excel and we want to apply the same formatting to all the rows. The normal process is to select the formatted row, select Format Painter and then click on the selected row we want to be formatted like shown below:
While this process is ok if we want to apply formatting for one or two rows it becomes extremely unfeasible and time consuming when we want to apply the same formatting for all rows that too in a large dataset.
