One of the most salient features of Inforiver Charts is the ability to drill down a Chart and get a more in-depth understanding of our data. It is very similar to the Drill Through feature we have in Power BI except this feature is applied to Charts.
Let us illustrate with an example.
Say we have Charts depicting Gross Sales by Quarter for each Product Segment:
We can use the Drill Down feature to get a deeper look at our Charts. The Drill Down button is located at the top right-hand corner of the Chart:
Once we have applied the Drill Down, we can clearly see that we have drilled down to a Segment in this case the Channel Partners Segment:
We can even individually choose any Segment. In the below Charts I have chosen the Enterprise Segment from the given options:
When we further Drill Down to an individual Quarter (in this case Q1) there are also options to choose which specific Quarter we want to see:
We can even choose individual months within a specific Quarter. So, if I choose February month in the below dropdown, I will get only the value for the month of February:
Alternatively, we can use the Drill up feature to go back to our earlier position:
In addition to the Inforiver Drill Down we also have the Native Power BI Drill down option. The native Drill down will directly expand to the last level of the Hierarchy:
We can also get a closer look at specific Charts by selecting the Focus Mode option located within each Chart:
We can even customize individual Charts by selecting the Customize Chart option:
