Who is a Developer?
The person who is assigned with the license by the license admin will become the DEVELOPER.
What privilege does Developer have?
Developer will have the highest privilege to create/edit/share the reports.
Developer can set ONLY Sort On Click to enable sorting by the Viewer as shown below.
Who is a Viewer?
The person with whom the developer shares the report(created by the developer) will become the VIEWER. The viewers are managed by the developer.
What privilege does Viewer have?
The viewer can view the report shared by the developer.
Viewer can export (pdf/excel) and sort the columns only if the Sort On Click is enabled by the developer of the report.
Based on what is set to be seen by the developer will be shown to the Viewer. Any change made by the viewer will not be saved in the visual.

What happens if the developer leaves the company or changes job?
The company can reassign the developer license to another developer.

2. When a report has Inforiver visual and native Power BI visuals, will the viewer be allowed to
edit native Power BI visuals?
Yes, the edit restriction is only for Inforiver visual and not for other native visuals. The Inforiver visual will behave as if it is in read mode even though the report is in edit mode.
What if the viewer who has edit access to the report tries to save it?
The report will revoke view access for all viewers and will get the viewer access only after the developer saves the report.
Can developer and viewer be in different domain?
No, both developer and viewer must be in same domain.
