One of the most commonly requested features in Power BI is the ability to format full rows and not just specific columns in tables.
Say for example you have a list of date driven tasks and would like to highlight the entire row where the task is overdue. This can be achieved in Power BI by using conditional formatting on each column in the table/matrix so that this way we can format the entire row. The main problem with this method is that when we have a table/matrix with multiple columns, it becomes extremely inconvenient to keep going to each and every column and applying the same conditional formatting repeatedly.
With Inforiver it is possible to use Conditional Formatting for specific rows/columns with a single click. We can also color single rows/columns based on our required conditions.
1. In Home Tab choose Conditional Formatting, and under Conditional Formatting choose Create Rule:
2. In the Conditional Formatting tab select Rules (If Conditions) under the Format by option:
3. Under Apply to select Rows and then enter your condition. Your row will be formatted then as per your condition:
4. You can even Apply for Row Headers as well in case you do not want to apply to the rows. Simply choose Totals only option under Row hierarchy levels:
