The Inforiver matrix provides three formatting styles in a table/matrix. You can apply these styles with just a couple of clicks-no need to write any DAX code.
Inforiver supports the following formatting styles in a table/matrix report:
Row-wise formatting
Column-wise formatting
Table-wise formatting
How do you apply different formatting styles in a heat map report?
You can apply the appropriate formatting with five simple steps. Refer to the image below.
1. Row-wise Formatting:
Applies colors to cells within each row based on their values.
Useful for quick identification of highs and lows within a specific row.
2. Column-wise Formatting:
Applies colors to cells within each column based on their values.
Effective for analyzing patterns or trends within a particular column across different records.
3. Table-wise Formatting:
Applies colors to cells in the entire table based on their values.
Useful for identifying general trends, outliers, or aggregated insights across the entire table.
Additionally, if you have multiple measures in your report, you can create separate formatting rules for each measure. These formatting rules can be applied to both totals and values in a hierarchical report. Refer the image below.
