Fonts & Export to PDF

One of the important font elements that we needed for Inforiver is that the numbers were mono spaced so that the decimals aligned with unit scaling. So, we went with Antikor mono as our default font.

Because we were limited to 3 MB custom visual size - we were not able to support all the fonts with the Export to PDF feature (each font family is 1MB in size). We were recently able to add "Times New Roman" as additional font for the Export to PDF feature as it was available for us without any bundle size penalty.

Today, we are excited to announce that by August 2022 - we will switch to the Inforiver font family from Antikor Mono (Inforiver font specs attached) that is in development with TAF Foundry which will become our default font as it will look closer to the Power BI's SEGOE font.

Enterprise Edition customers will be able to use any custom font in the subscription scheduler for the export to PDF feature as the enterprise edition has storage where we could upload additional font styles which we are not able to do with the premium edition and below.
